This Privacy Policy describes how MatchPoint ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the MatchPoint mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you create an account and use the App:
- Account information: your email address, display name, and optional phone number.
- Profile data: a profile photo you choose to upload.
- League activity: your ladder rank, challenge history, match results, scores, and dispute records.
- Device information: operating system type and version, used only for crash diagnostics and push notification delivery.
We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or precise location data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the ladder, challenges, and match-result system.
- To send in-app and push notifications about your challenges and matches.
- To allow league administrators to manage the league and resolve disputes.
- To diagnose technical problems and improve the App.
3. Information Sharing
Your display name and ladder rank are visible to other members of leagues you join. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We share data with the following service providers only as necessary to operate the App:
- Supabase – database, authentication, and file storage (hosted in the United States).
- Apple / Google – push notification delivery via APNs / FCM.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion through the App, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Match and audit records may be retained in anonymised form for league history purposes.
5. Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Update your display name, phone number, or profile photo inside the App.
- Request deletion of your account from the Profile screen → "Delete account".
- Contact us to request a copy of the data we hold about you.
6. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to the database is controlled by row-level security policies so that players can only read and write their own records. Uploaded files are stored in private buckets with signed URLs.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
