By downloading or using the MatchPoint application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. The Service
MatchPoint provides a platform for organising and tracking competitive tennis ladder leagues. Features include player registration, challenge management, match result submission, dispute resolution, and league administration.
2. Account Registration
- You must provide an accurate email address and display name.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- One account per person. Shared or duplicate accounts may be removed.
3. Conduct & Objectionable Content
When using the App you agree to:
- Submit accurate match scores and results.
- Respond to challenges within the time limits set by your league.
- Treat other players with respect in all in-app communications.
- Not attempt to manipulate, exploit, or circumvent the ladder system.
- Not post, share, send, or transmit any content that is unlawful, harassing, bullying, abusive, hateful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
- Not impersonate any person, or harass, abuse, or harm another user.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You can report messages, comments, match photos, and users from within the App, and you can block any user so they can no longer message you or appear in your activity feed. Reported content and users are reviewed and, where warranted, the content is removed and the user may be suspended or removed. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours.
Violations may result in suspension or removal from a league at the discretion of league administrators.
4. League Rules
Each league is administered by its own admins who may set additional rules (deadlines, challenge windows, protection periods, etc.). Those rules govern gameplay within that league and supplement these Terms.
5. Dispute Resolution
Disputes about match results are submitted through the App and reviewed by league administrators. Administrator decisions are final within the league context. We do not adjudicate disputes between users directly.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and software in the App is owned by MatchPoint. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for disputes between players or for outcomes of league competitions.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
